About ShowMe Math by MathNexa

What this is

ShowMe Math by MathNexa is a formative practice space for Grades 3-8 mathematics, aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards. Students practice with original questions and learn the interactive tools used on online assessments — dragging, graphing, equation entry and more — so the technology never gets in the way of showing what they know.

Everything here is practice for learning. Nothing on this site is a test, a test score, or a prediction of test performance.

This release

Formative practice for learning. ShowMe Math by MathNexa is designed to support Grades 1–9. Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, and Grade 8 are available now; other grades follow as their content is ready.

What to keep in mind: This is an independent resource, not an official MAP assessment. Practice results are not official grades, do not predict MAP performance, and do not certify mastery. There is no guarantee of test-score improvement.

Using ShowMe Math by MathNexa

  • Practice and learn. Start from the Grade 6, Grade 7, or Grade 8 curriculum for lessons, guided and independent practice, quick checks, mixed reviews, topic quizzes, and unit reviews.
  • Saving practice results. Progress is saved automatically in this browser. You can export a results file from the practice experience to hand to a teacher; see Settings.
  • Importing results into Teacher Tools. Teachers can import an exported results file locally in Teacher Tools import. Files are processed in the browser and filenames are not kept.
  • Smart-board mode. Present a skill to a class from any grade curriculum map using the built-in presentation view.
  • Local-data limitations. All progress and imported evidence live only in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data may remove them. Full details are on the Privacy page.

Your data stays with you

MathNexa manages account access to MAP Prep. Practice progress inside the learning app is saved only in this browser, on this device, as temporary local storage; it is not added to your MathNexa account and can be cleared from your browser settings.

Profiles inside the learning app use nicknames you choose. ShowMe Math by MathNexa does not add an email address, password, birthdate, or school ID to local practice evidence.

ShowMe Math by MathNexa is an independently developed educational resource. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Missouri DESE, Data Recognition Corporation, NWEA, or any assessment provider. All questions are original work created for this project.
